Carl Johan Fahlcrantz

Carl Johan Fahlcrantz, a Swedish landscape painter, was born in Dalecarlia in 1774. He was instructed by P. Ljung, a sculptor and painter, and depicted Northern scenery with a masterly touch, his twilight and moonlight scenes being particularly effective. He died in 1861.
